Apples & Potatoes
Serves 4
- 4 medium - Potatoes, 1" cubes
- 2 tart - Apples, chopped
- 1 tablespoon - Sugar
- 4 slices - Bacon, chopped
- 1 medium - Onion, chopped
- 1 tablespoon - Margarine
- Dash - Nutmeg
Heat 1" salted water in pan to boiling.
Add potatoes, apples & sugar.
Heat to boiling, reduce heat.
Cover and cook until potatoes are tender, 15 minutes.
Drain
Fry bacon until crisp.
Drain.
Cook and stir onion in bacon fat until tender.
Place potatoes & apples in serving bowl.
Dot with margarine and sprinkle with nutmeg.
Top with onion & bacon.
